We currently have two vacancies.


Cashier

We are looking for an efficient, courteous cashier who possesses excellent customer service skills for our busy legal practice. The cashier will record accurately transactions, post these to the computer records, maintain the crofting estate rental records, handle the receipts & payments for the conveyancing, executry & other business. Accept payments mainly by card payments or bank transfer, issue receipts, answer inquiries from clients. Full training will be provided and training up to law accountant standard will be offered, as appropriate.

To succeed as a cashier, you should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy & efficiency. You should be responsible, attentive to clients’ needs, and committed to providing excellent service.

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Balancing the cash ledger and generating reports complying with Law Society regulations.
  • Good communication and keyboard skills.

Cashier Requirements:

  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Previous bookkeeping experience is required
  • Customer service & cashier experience.
  • High level of energy with helpful, courteous approach to problem resolving.

Legal Secretary

A full time challenging post has arisen in our busy legal practice for a legal secretary to work as part of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities include:

Audio and copy typing; handling client telephone enquiries, emails and general information; producing excel spreadsheets; assisting with reception cover as and when required.

Experience and skills required:

Dealing with clients by telephone and face-to-face; legal secretarial experience; excellent computer skills, administrative and organisational skills; excellent communication skills – ability to communicate verbally and in writing; ability to prioritise and work to deadlines under pressure; attention to detail and ability to use initiative.

Training in legal terminology and procedures will be provided while working as part of an experienced team.
